Buckholts MS Achievement Awards

May 25, 2018, Buckholts Middle School students received individual achievement awards.

Buckholts HS Student Awards

Buckholts High School held an award ceremony for Honor Roll and individual achievements May 24, 2018.

Superintendent Nancy Sandlin presented 24 Buckholts High School studentswith certificates for "A" and "A-B" Honor Roll.

In their tradition of honoring the graduating Senior Class, Buckholts Elementary held it's annual May Fete program May 23, 2018. After introducing this year's court, the King and Queen of May Fete 2018 were crowned.

Then, to the theme of "American Idol", the elementary grades entertained the crowd with a dance-off.

Sports Banquet & Awards

Buckholts High School held it's annual Sports Banquet Monday night, May 21, 2018.

After an Italian supper donated by the Torres family of Ginno's Italian Restaurant and the BISD Athletic Department, student athletes were honored.

Elizabeth Trdy (top) and Kris Munoz received the Badger Leadership
Award for the 2017-18 athletic season.

Buckholts High School Jr-Sr Prom 2018

Cinco de Mayo was the chosen night for the Junior-Senior Prom held at the SPJST Lodge on the municipal edge of Buckholts.

Everybody knows you have to have your favorite local DJ for the prom.

And, everybody knows someone has to play sheriff and guard the drinks.

But, not everyone knows a proper prom starts with a game of pool.

And of course, no one knew beforehand who would be selected to rule over the grand ball.

Seniors Sara Cox and Cooper Meinardus were chosen Queen and King of the 2018 Buckholts High School Jr-Sr Prom.

Buckholts High School National Honor Society

Friday, May 11, 2018 - Buckholts High School established a new National Honor Society chapter.

13 High School students inducted (L-R): Christopher Salomon, Victor Baez, Ashlynne Kessler, Chelsea Eaton, Julissa Cardona, Kris Munoz, Hailey Cazares, Chris Lopez, Marrissa Labrada, Elizabeth Trdy, Jenna Mienardus, Caleb Lopez, & Juan Melendez.

Officers installed were Jenna Mienardus (Reporter/Parliamentarian/Historian), Elizabeth Trdy (Secretary/Treasurer), Victor Baez (Vice President) & Juan Melendez (President).

Officers of the Groesbeck High School chapter of the NHS conducted the ceremony at Buckholts School. BISD teacher Kim Turrubiarte is the local chapter advisor.
